Housing Services / Accommodation
Curtin Sarawak offers several housing options on or close to campus. Safe, comfortable and modern accommodation is available for students on any budget. Moving away from home to study at university is often a student’s first experience of living away from their family and friends. Living with other students provides them with a supportive network while they pursue their studies.
Curtin currently has three student accommodation options:
- Lakeside Apartment I & II (on-campus)

Curtin Village, and

Curtin Villa
 Lakeside Apartment I & II
Students at the on-campus Lakeside Apartment can stay close to the action, a short walk away from the cafeteria, computer laboratories and the library. Lakeside Apartment consists of 6 three-storey apartment blocks. There are 172 apartments available, housing up to 283 students.

Each room is furnished with a single bed, mattress, pillow, wardrobe, study desk, chair and bookshelf. Bed-sheets, blankets, towels, toiletries, washing detergent etc. are not provided.

Each floor has a common kitchen with cooking facilities and a refrigerator, a lounge with a ceiling fan, and a dining area.

Recreational facilities available for games such as basketball, badminton and volleyball. A rugby field is adjacent to the general-purpose building which houses a gymnasium, and a jogging track is situated around the lake. The soccer field is only a walking distance from the apartments.

A cafeteria is located within a Community Hall where food and drinks are available.

Electricity and water charges are included in the rent to a maximum of RM50.00 per resident per month. Usage above the limit will be charged accordingly.

Ample parking space is available nearby for residents.

Curtin Village
 Curtin Village is a 5 minutes drive from campus, and consists of 24 semi-detached houses. Students are given the option of private or shared rooms in custom-designed fully furnished five bedroom houses.
Curtin Villa
Curtin Villa is the newest of the university’s accommodation facilities, catering to the ever-growing number of students choosing to live close to campus. Curtin Villa is located 3 km from campus, and consists of 60 terrace style houses.

Located opposite a supermarket and eating outlets.

Intermediate units for 8 residents with 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, two kitchens and a living cum dining room.

Corner units for 5 residents with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a living cum dining room.

Each house is fully furnished with beds, wardrobes, study tables and chairs, dining table and chairs, living room furniture, television, cooking stove, refrigerator, air-conditioning, and wireless Internet access (complimentary provision by a privately owned internet service provider).

Each unit has a two-car garage space. A parking fee of RM 125.00 (Foundation/Degree/Post-graduate & Diploma) or RM 90.00 (IEP) per car is applicable. Residents will also need an access card that can be obtained with a refundable RM 50.00 deposit.

Rental charges are inclusive of the cost of electricity and water charges up to a maximum of RM37.50 per resident per month. Residents will pay any excess above this amount.

Residents can travel to and from the University on the free Curtin Shuttle Bus service.
Student‘s Liabilities and Undertaking for the use of the room.
Residents are responsible in maintaining the cleanliness of each house. The University Accommodation’s Rules & Regulations apply to Curtin Village.
